things fall apart

Well. One of the kitchen cabinet doors came off in my hands when I tried to put something away a few minutes ago. There was a tiny bit of swearing. Nothing is broken (except the cabinet).

So...any alarming tales of household chaos you would like to share?

Well. I had a really good conversation with jencallisto. *so many hugs* And then I went for a walk. My across-the-street neighbors were outside on their steps so I went over to introduce myself. Even though one of them is moving out and the other has been here for two years. So...I fail at being neighborly in a timely fashion!

And then as I went on my walk I called formerly-CA-sister now NC sister and had a pretty good chat with her. She loves her job...but I guess she spent a lot of time in grad school so she could love her job so...*shrug*

I also found a small blue pile of crockery sitting on the sidewalk and as it was unbroken and adorable I took it home. Pet crockery is easier to clean up after than actual pets.
