You guys! I just had five eggs (& toast & some home fries & fry bread) for breakfast. And I still feel a bit hungry. What. I mean, food is awesome, but that's a lot of eggs. And I totally had toast and tea earlier too. Being on vacation is hungry-making?

Also it is really pretty here. And I may have taken pictures of things in the grocery store as if I were visiting from another planet. Perhaps I should pretend I am visiting from another planet no matter where I am. But I have seriously never seen a bread slice thing where they have little wooden pieces of "bread" to show you the possible bread-slice thickness. Maybe I don't get out much?

Anyway...when the checkout lady asked us how were were doing I told her I was on vacation and that I was from Boston and she said "Why did you come here?" which made me laugh so much.

I may go out for a walk around the neighborhood, because everything is kind of awesome and different here. Different is such a good thing.

Hello from Salt Lake City! I am here visiting the most excellent and amazing [livejournal.com profile] theamusedone. His cats are adorable, and we are going to watch some Avatar:The Last Airbender now because I have never seen it and it's all anyone is talking about these days, when they aren't talking about The Avengers.

Hello from Austin! This is not a post of substance. There's very little here except:

I have lived in Boston my whole life and there are a lot of Irish folks wandering about and I am half Irish and tend to wear a lot of green anyway but apparently? It is the tradition in Austin to pinch someone if they are not wearing green on Saint Patrick's Day.

For real? I have never heard of this. Is it just an Austin thing or is this something people do elsewhere as well?

In other news, I have several new favorite bands. Yay.

Hey there everybody. Still in Austin. Still having an awesome time. Most fun amazing music so far was Jeremy Messersmith. Ms. Callisto & I sat on the floor in front of the tiny stage and grinned like lunatics. There may have been actual *chinhands*. We tried to stop ourselves from smiling (my face was beginning to hurt, okay?) but it was not possible to do so. So much adorableness! Plus, there was a string quartet and *hearteyes*

(we also quite enjoyed bands Fredrik and Aphasia)

Also met up with a friend from writing camp, which was fun!

In other news, I am too old for this shit and I can't un-dayshift and when I get back to Boston I might be sleep deprived until forever. So...fair warning. (Tonight we will be staying up waaay past my bedtime. Hope I make it. Send good stay-awake magic vibes please.)

Also! Happy Saint Patrick's Day to all that care!

Happy birthday to my sister Lou! Have a great day!

Hello all! I am in Austin, Texas! There is a [livejournal.com profile] jencallisto! Yay! (Er...I have not seen much of Austin yet, but I have spent a fair amount of time giggling with Ms. Callisto, so all is awesome so far).

I also saw [livejournal.com profile] coraline and [livejournal.com profile] nacht_musik very briefly. Because traveling across the country to see people who live down the street from you is all the rage. *snort*

Ms. Callisto & D & I are very shortly going out for lunch-like things. Mmmm. Food. It keeps my brain working as well as can be expected.
