Went to The Avengers last night. Enjoyed it quite a bit. It was not perfect, but it was still pretty great. Had been thoroughly spoiled, but that does not take away from my enjoyment as I am a spoiler fiend of longstanding. (Do you guys remember when Farscape was on the air and you had to hunt down spoilers and kill them with your bare hands, devour their flesh, drink their blood, and suck the marrow from their little spoiler bones? I did that a lot. Yum.)

Anyway...will probably go to see The Avengers again at some point.

Also: to all of you who got up to leave the theatre before the credits had even begun to roll-- You must be new here. Freshly hatched from whatever rock-egg thing you were dwelling in/under.

I made it in to work. Actually not that bad out.

When I got down into the T station I sat on a bench only to see a woman taking off her nail polish, complete with cotton balls and an open bottle of purple nail polish remover* beside her on bench. I told her to put that cap on the nail polish remover. I muttered how that was a new one, taking off nail polish in the subway. She said that things a bit crazy this morning. I'll say!

Seriously? How is taking off your nail polish a priority at 7:15am on a blizzard day? In the T station! Why so crazy? If you really, really need to take off your nail polish, fucking take it off when you get to work. That way you don't look like a lunatic to your fellow commuters.

*I'm sure it was the non-acetone "safe" kind. I was mostly worried that it would spill. I mean, I could have tipped it over when I sat down.

You guys. I sat bolt upright at 6am, and shouted "Fuck!" as I somehow remembered in my sleep that I had forgotten to call my company's milk distributor to change the milk order because of Thanksgiving. Thank goodness the place is open on Saturdays. Ugh. I'm really glad I remembered in time to fix things but wow do I hate my job sometimes.

In other news, I have a headache. I probably just need food. I think I'll go make myself some eggs.

I think I have a head cold. Or else it's just all the dust I no doubt inhaled when I beat back the chaos monkey demon army that lives in my room. They keep throwing cursed bananas at me and I frelling hate bananas even when they aren't cursed. Yargh.

Will stand far back from Great Aunt Helen when I go to visit her with my parents this evening.

Made lemon ricotta cookies again. Still awesome, but with less OMG-I-will-fuck-this-up-and-then-the-world-will-end panicking this time. Neato.

Thing we still somehow do not have in our kitchen:

a whisk (seriously what is wrong with us?)

Also: Ms. Corrupt and TCD made amazing, fantabulous pear bread, which is a work of great food magic as far as I am concerned. They also made gloriously yummy, sweet adzuki-bean-filled bao. Ms. Corrupt and I kept making Firefly references, because we are dorktastic, and TCD has not seen it (a crime, we know) and we all laughed at each other a lot. (The bao were almost too cute to eat. But we overcame their cuteness and consumed quite a few. Yummy cute bao.)

If I survive this week and then next week I will be really surprised, actually. It's going to be awesome house guest + amazing concert + Upstairs on the Square + amazing concert + passover (which is one of my favorite holidays!) = death. Um. *is a bit more loopy than usual*
