So...I ended up going to bed at 3am. Because when I tried to go to bed at 1am I could not stop freaking out about...stuff. So instead of staying in bed miserably unable to sleep on account of not being able to find the 'stop worrying' switch in my brain, I got up and finished reading a really long thing I am proofreading. So...that was productive. I think I even made useful comments. (And here I was, worried I wouldn't have time to read through it before the deadline. Pffff.)

Turns out I can get to work early even if I do end up sleeping until 7am. That is good info to have. Four hours of sleep is...not optimal.

Wheeeeeee!!!! I should really go do work now. Maybe if I just keep moving I won't be quite so tired.

Note to self: in case you ever decide that four hours of sleep is an acceptable alternative to just, I dunno, calling in sick, remember this: you will kind of want to hurl most of the day. Sleep-dep-induced nausea is not something you really want to repeat.

Also: California? You suck rocks through a straw. Sharp, pointy rocks.

Ugh. I am going to go wrestle a herd of milk crates down to the basement now. I'm like the queen of the milk crate rodeo or something. Um. I am also possibly the queen of delirious weirdos.
