Survived Somerville Open Studios. Saturday was quite exhausting. Lots and lots of people. People bought my stuff. Complete strangers bought my stuff. Actually, the first piece of art I sold (ever) was this half painted in line drawing on a little piece of canvas board. It was rather amusing, because this woman really liked it and I was mostly a little surprised. "Er...that's not really finished. But if you want to pay me for it that is totally fine!" And then I sold a bunch of hand painted patches (which I have scans of, so I have a record of what I made).
Sunday was less crazy but it was also sort of sleepy-making weather out. But at the end of the day we got to burn some of
corrupviridian's paper cranes, which was rather fun.
Thanks to
corruptviridian (who had some really amazing artwork on display across the room from me) for putting up with my insanity and
asciikitty for being awesome and helpful. And thanks to E for the loan of his scanner.
